You've got good taste in music, though! *pats you* Huzzah for obscure eighties tunes! I believe it was the first line of the chorus that tied itself to Spirited Away for me. "Near a tree by a river there's a hole in the ground" It just makes me think of Haku with the whole river thing, and that first shot of the tunnel opening in the film, the portal to the otherworld. It's all rather Alice in Wonderland-ish . . .

BTW I am loving your stories. I'm quite addicted at this point. Can't wait to finish so I can send you a good long rambling review!

You might remember me or you might not - likely the latter - but I commented on one of your favourited art pieces and enquired about the fic it was linked to about a week or so ago. You so helpfully pointed me in the direction of "Courage of the Spirit" and well . . . after hours of reading I'm now on chapter number . . . er, can't quite remember, of "Resilience of the Soul" . . . but its title is called Inspiration? So there I am, reading away, and the good Lady is finally coughing up a bit about that infuriating prophecy . . . and she comes out with the chorus of "The Riddle"

. . . Which I currently happen to be using at the moment, knee-deep as I am in my first ever Spirited Away music video.

Howdy Velf! Just wanted to say hello. I read your livejournal and I don't have an account so I'll reply here. As far as printing your own novel or story I agree with you. Its hard work. Not that fanfiction is always easy but you have to think a lot of the characters are already created and the story written you can work from. Something of your own creation takes so much time and planning and by the time you plan and write even one page you might change your mind a thousand times and by the end you screaming "FORGET IT! I WILL BE A ANT IN THE WORKFORCE FOR EVER!" Of course that could be just me. My artwork is all right but I really love to write my poetry and I only write when I'm inspired. I'm not a monkey that performs on a whim. I've won several awards but that doesn't give me enough confidence to write something for a living and like you said people would try to screw me over and exploit me and writing wouldn't be fun anymore. As far as my art I do that strictly as a hobby and people (Cough:: parents:: Cough) want me to go to art school. I have a 2 yr degree already and I'm happy working as an ant for EXPEDIA for the time being. I don't know what is in store for me in the future but you never know I guess all we can do is try. (By the way I'm ADD and ADHD its a mircale and I sit still and do ANYTHING! So I feel for you in the dyslexia dept Disorders really suck XP)

are you going to update your spirited away fanfic soon? I'm getting so anxious! lol
