After enough reader ideas to keep her going for months she has decided to tackle the latest chapter of Resilience.

Extract...

“Tell me,” he demanded softly, interrupting her. “I am quite capable of remaining calm; I know how dire our situation is Chihiro.” He held her to him again. “Don’t take all this on alone little one,” he whispered. “Whatever it is you do not need to shelter me from it. We are mates; we should share everything, even the bad things.”

“It’s nothing bad,” chuckled Chihiro. “Well, I don’t think it is, the timing could have been better but I’m sure you’ll see that…”

“You’re babbling Chihiro,” he murmured gently, cutting her off. He held her tighter.

“Just tell me what it is.”

Chihiro swallowed, she held him tight, took a deep breath, hesitated, then spat the words out in a rush.

“I’m carrying our child.” She squeezed her eyes shut and waited.

Awesome as always, Daishar! I love the expression in Chihiro's face! She is so gleeful and the love is there as well.

Poor Haku's got the look of "dammit, I'm worried over my human again!" xP

Bit of critique, but something of Haku's face strikes me as odd. I think it's the nose just does not fit with the body, though a friend said his face seems sideways (whatever that means). *shrug* Who knows! I have annoying talent to know something is off, but it takes a while for me to figure out what it is, and I usually never know how to fix it, unless it is writing. xP My artist friends find it a bit annoying, but like that I am so honest. ^^;;;
